All solid wood really does make a difference and Alvarez made sure their Masterworks guitars, including the MG75SCE, get the best out their solid wood construction. They are very open sounding, powerful instruments with rounded notes and plenty of bass. It is constructed from hand-selected, AA solid red cedar tops, and solid, cured rosewood back and side. Each component of the MG75SCE is made of natural material including real bone saddles and nuts, maple and rosewood binding and purfling, ebony bridge pins and green abalone inlays. The Masterworks MG75SCE features a one-piece mahogany neck with a 50/50 finish, and Grover tuners.
The Masterworks bracing system is forward-shifted with scalloped, hand-finished X braces that allow these guitars to project incredibly well. There’s lots of sustain and response, and no matter if strummed or picked, the separation and balance across the strings is easily audible. Alvarez has worked hard to ensure that their Masterworks line is one of the most impressive and affordable all solid guitar lines available, so now as many players as possible can enjoy the benefits of an all-solid wood construction.
The MG75SCE delivers a stunning performance and suits any type of music or playing style. The solid rosewood body helps generate and dynamic, full tonal spectrum with great trebles and round bass. This model has a AA grade solid cedar top so it’s very open and responsive. The “S” stands for satin finish. This is a very natural looking piece and with an open pore finish to the back and sides, and a generous cutaway.
The Alvarez SYS650 was designed by B-BAND and is a dual pickup system incorporating one under saddle pickup and a transducer pickup placed under the soundboard. Either pickup can be selected or one can blend between the two to fine tune the response for lead, finger-picking or rhythm work. The system also has a fully chromatic, precision tuner with backlit LCD screen, 3-bands of rotary EQ, and a notch control that can be used to attenuate feedback or to shape the sound.
