Shipping Information

Flat Rate Shipping from $3 to $20 – Free Shipping on Orders Over $250*

To keep things simple and to avoid surprise costs we offer Flat Rate shipping on most items to most locations within Canada. Free Shipping is available on total orders worth $250 or more before taxes.

Most of our products will fall under the $20 Flat Rate option.  A $3 Flat Rate is available on single quantities of several small items and increases by the quantity ordered up to the maximum $20 flat rate.  Smaller items include products like Guitar Strings, Dance Tights, Smaller Music Accessories (like Capos, Picks), Pointe Shoe Pads, Hair Accessories, and Thinner Music Books (of 40 pages or less) and so on. If a smaller item is combined with a regular size item in your cart, then the shipping rate will be set at the maximum flat rate of $20 or even free shipping for orders over $250 in total.

Want to purchase both music and dance products? Yes sure! Both categories share the same cart so feel free to put them together in one order to make the most of your shipping rate.  Combining music and dance products still qualifies for free shipping.

*There are some exceptions like very large or heavy items as well as shipping to remote areas and outside Canada.

The Exceptions Include:

  • Products/Orders that weigh more than 35 lbs (15.8 kg). While most of our products are less than this weight there are a few that are over the limit, typically some drum kits and digital pianos. These products will have a notice in the item’s description and a higher shipping rate shown in your cart.
  • Free shipping and Flat Rate Shipping may not apply to “Beyond Point” or “remote” postal codes as determined by Canada Post and our alternate couriers. Unfortunately this usually includes Northwest Territories, Yukon Territories, Nunavut and other remote areas. Customers in these areas will be contacted 1 to 2 business days after placing their order to confirm the shipping costs.
  • From time to time some clearance priced items listed on this site may not qualify for flat rate or free shipping. Any of these will have a notice in the item’s description and appear with a different shipping cost in your cart.

All customers falling under the above exemptions are encouraged to contact us to obtain a shipping quote before ordering. Quotes may take a few days to obtain from shippers. Customers may also choose to place an order and we may contact them with a quote on shipping costs about 1 to 2 business days after placing the order.

Shipping typically takes 4 to 9 business days. (One business day is as weekday without a shop closing holiday.)  

These times are only estimates provided by the couriers, we can not guarantee any shipping times or deadlines.

* Shipping charges and times may be subject to change without notice, but charges will only be applied to orders placed after any posted change.

Can I Pick up my Order in Store? – Free Store Pickup

Yes when placing your order you may select to pickup your order for free. You will be contacted by email to let you know your order is ready. Free Order Pickup is available from our Torbay Road store all year long and from our Mount Pearl Lesson Centre during the School Year (September to June).

How to Track my Order?

You will be notified of progress by:

  • a confirmation email after you place your order
  • an additional email alerting you that your order has been shipped

If necessary you may also contact us for a tracking number on your shipment.

Issues with Received Orders

Wrong or missing items
Your order may have been packaged in more than one box; refer to the packing slip and order tracking to verify you don’t have any outstanding pieces. Please contact us should your order not be correct.

Damaged Items
If you notice visible damage to your package please refuse the shipment (don’t sign for it) and contact us. If you notice the damage after accepting and opening your order contact us right away.

What if there is any other Problem with my Delivery?
Please call or email us and we’ll take steps to help resolve the issue.

Haven’t Received Your Order

If you haven’t received your order in the expected time frame (see estimate of shipping time on your order tracking) please contact us.
